If I may offer a suggestion... Many different categories are great for organizing threads when you have loads of them. But with just a couple of threads total, so many empty categories create the impression of a huge empty space that discourages participation. Strip them down to essentials: maybe one category for announcements and one for everything else. Once you've built up enough threads that organization becomes a real problem, you can divide them into categories that make sense for the content you will actually have. For now, simple is better. Just my two cents
